Niamh McQuillan
Niamh McQuillan is a certified International Coaching Federation coach and a trained
Team Coaching International coach. She was a career educator for over 25 years in
Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS), where she worked with and coached educators
and district and national leaders to develop and achieve team, school and district
instructional, leadership and equity goals. In addition, she collaborated with organizations
to train and develop team coaches within BCPS. Niamh was also at the forefront of
implementing Stanford University’s Design Thinking model with the district’s central
office teams. Niamh has presented at international conferences on leadership and teams
and at South by Southwest on the environment and on women and leadership. Her work
was published in Learning Forward’s The Learning Professional.
Through her multifaceted experience with coaching teams, Niamh understands that teamwork is both a science and an art and that teams need a foundational common language and strategies to be highly effective. She has seen firsthand the magic of a team that is committed to intentional growth, open communication and reflection.
Niamh holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from University College Dublin and a master’s in leadership and teaching from Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU). She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Towson University in the College of Business and Economics. She has worked extensively with women’s political action groups to inform voters and was on the 2020 NDMU Women of the World Festival Board. Her article on the 100-year anniversary of the 19th amendment was published in NDMU’s Universitas. Niamh is also a climate activist and works with local environmental groups.
